Paul Martinez						[Photo]

Paul J. "Jr." Martinez, 77, a native of New Orleans and resident of Houma, died 
at 8:35 p.m. Dec. 17, 2004.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Ritter Martinez of Houma; sons, Henry G. 
Escat of New Orleans and Paul Cox of Houma; sisters, Pauline Smith and Mary; and 
five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Angelo and Lillie M. Martinez; and two 
sisters.

He enjoyed wood carving. He worked 20 years for the New Orleans Parkway 
Commission.

Donations to the American Diabetes Association are preferred.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
