Richard L. Werther, 68, a native of Brownwood, Texas, and resident of Houma, 
died Nov. 28, 2004.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Samart Funeral Home. A memorial 
service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy F. Werther; stepsons, Tony and Mike Ivy; 
daughters, Cheryl Werther Callais of Kingston, Wash.; and Cynthia Werther-
Johnson of Houma; stepdaughters, Peggy I. Hankins and Deborah I, Richey; 16 
grandchildren;a nd three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Margaret Baker Werther of 
Brownwood.

Donations to the family for funeral expenses are preferred.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
