Verna Chiasson

Verna Aucoin Chiasson, 88, a native of Brule Guillot, Thibodaux and resident of 
Thibodaux, died Dec. 5, 2004.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. today and 8 to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Thibodaux Funeral Home Chapel. A religious service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the 
funeral home chapel, with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Percy and Rita Chiasson, 
Kenneth and Rosswella Chiasson; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Darrel 
Daigle; grandchildren, Lisa C. Hanegan, Preston and Brian Chiasson, Denise C. 
Kerby, Daniel and Dwane Daigle, Katie D. McDonald, Elizabeth and Randy Chiasson; 
great-grandchildren, Michael and Emily Hanegan, Jacob Daigle, Alexus and Kevin 
McDonald; step-great-grandchild, Becca Bergeron; best friends and sisters, 
Dolores A. Plaisance and Anna Mae A. Martinolich; and brother, Murphy Aucoin Sr.

She was preceded in death by her infant son, Ray; husband, Fernand Chiasson; 
parents, Willie and Celine Roger Aucoin; sister, Ethel A. Andras; and brother, 
Elton Aucoin.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
