Gelpi Cheramie

Gelpi "Blue" Cheramie, 66, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, 
died July 26, 2004.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic 
Church in Galliano. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. 
Thursday at the church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly Toups Cheramie; sons and daughters-in-law, 
Jimmy and Shada Cheramie and Jake and Casey Cheramie; daughters and sons-in-
law, Tammy and Roddy Gisclair, Denna Cheramie and Connie and Ken Plaisance; 
brother, Joseph Cheramie; half-brother, Louis Pitre; sisters, Delis Gulotta, 
Rita Guidry and Jane Cheramie; half-sister, Rose Cheramie; eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lazie Pitre Cheramie.

He was a parishioner of St. Joseph.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
