Gloria "Monk" Lee Washington, 61, a native of Houma and resident of Thibodaux, 
died July 22, 2004.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne 
Funeral Home Chapel. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at 
Howard Third Zion Travlers Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Craig Felix of Houma and Nigel Washington of 
Thibodaux; daughters, Sherrill Becerra, Lisa White and Jessica Washington, all 
of Thibodaux; brothers, Cleveland Gathen III, Tyrone Gathen and Jackie Gathen, 
all of Houma; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Washington; parents, Nathaniel 
and Elouise White Gathen; and stepfather, Cleveland Gathen Jr.

She was a member of Howard Third Zion Travlers Baptist Church.

Gertrude Geddes Willis-Terrebonne Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
