Murphy J. Baye, 83, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died July 25, 2004.

Visitaiton will be 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at 
Thibodaux Funeral Home Chapel in Thibodaux. A religious service will be held at 
10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery.

He is survived by hiw wife, Mildred Bourgeois Baye; sons, Ronald and Luke Baye; 
daughters, Loretta Barras, Geralyn Labat, Janelle Bergeron and Angela Morvant; 
14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis F. and Lillian Bourgeois Baye; 
brothers, Tim, Lionel and Leon Baye.

He was a World War II veteran, a 50 year member of Local Union 60 and a member 
of the American Legion. He enjoyed vegetable gardening.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
