Rosa Young

Rosa Mae Martinez Young, 89, a native and resident of Paincourtville, died at 
6:15 p.m. July 28, 2004.

Visitation will be 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in 
Paincourtville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday 
at the church, with burial at the church cemetery.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, David D. Young Jr. of 
Lewisberry, Penn. And Robert and Mary Ellen Young of Napoleonville; daughters 
and sons-in-law, Sandra and Ronnie Morris of Donaldsonville, Loretta and Nicky 
Carrier of Napoleonville and Brenda and Steve Allen of Baton Rouge; sisters, 
Lucy M. Sternfels of Klotzville and her twin, Rosa Jane M. Robichaux of 
Paincourtville; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; five great-great-
grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David D. Young Sr.; parents, Henry 
and Lucia T. Martinez.

She was a 1932 graduate of St. Vincent Catholic School of Donaldsonville. The 
family thanks her granddaughter Gwen and her husband Darrell Caluaruso for the 
love and care that was given to their mother and grandmother and will always be 
grateful.

Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
