Alfred Gilchrist

Alfred Charles Gilchrist, 87, a native of Keary, N.J., and resident of Cut Off, 
died at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 10, 2004.

Visitation will be 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut 
Off. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the 
church, with burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

He is survived by his brother, Jakes Gilchrist of New York.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Venita Pitre Gilchrist; parents, James and 
Mary Hockey Gilchrist.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II and served from 1939 to 1945.

He was a retired employee from Chevron after 24 years of service.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
