Bernice Adams						[Photo]

Bernice Bourgeois Adams, 78, a native of Chacahoula and resident of Schriever, 
died Nov. 8, 2004.

Visitation will be 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. A 
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, 
with burial at the church cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters, Grace Yount of Toledo Bend, Jane Theriot of 
Bayou Dularge, Nancy Marcel and Patty Melancon of Houma, Tammy Richardson of 
Chacahoula and Tess Daigle of Schriever; brother, Percy Bourgeois; sister, 
Cecila Pitre of Donner; 19 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-
great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin J. Adams; parents, Leo and 
Odilia Bertrand Bourgeois; brothers, Joseph, Clarence and Lionel Bourgeois; 
sisters, Rosalie, Lillian, Mabel Bourgeois, Felicie Benoit and Lorrena 
Boudreaux.

She was a homemaker and a parishioner of St. Lawrence Catholic Church.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
