Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Galliano. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon Thursday at the church, with burial at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. He is survived by his wife, Floredia Pitre Hebert; daughters, Patsy H. Rink and Suzanne H. Cheramie; sons-in-law, Joseph H. Rink Jr. and Hick "Skip" Cheramie III; brother, Lefry Hebert; 7 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Azael and Adelaide P. Hebert; brothers, Webre, Paul and John Hebert; sisters, Bessie Hebert, Louisa H. Vega, Floredia Adams and Rosie Deason. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church, a veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict, a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Louisiana Principal's Association and the Louisiana Athletic Association.
