James Lirette						[Photo]

James "Buck" Lirette, 55, a native and resident of Houma, died at 2:08 p.m. Nov. 
16, 2004.

Visitation will be 3 to 9 p.m. Friday and 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Samart 
Funeral Home in Bayou Blue. A religious service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday 
at the Morgan City Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Linda DeHart Lirette of Houma; sons, James Lee 
Lirette of Alabama and Timothy Paul Lirette of Houma; daughters, Christal 
Matheny of Bayou Vista and Tammy Duplantis of Bayou Vista; brothers, Donald and 
Douglas Lirette; sisters, Chyanne Pierron, Nancy Seago, Dianne Deshotel, 
Drusella Martin, Louella Landry and Barbara Cooper; and nine grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Lirette Sr. and Josephine 
Virginia Lirette Voisin; brother, Francis Lirette Jr.; sisters, Madora Domangue 
and Maybelle Roddy.

He was a past West Houma Lions Club first vice president.
