Visitation will be 4 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and 8:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Poiencot Cadiere of Houma; sons, Larry J. and Mark T. Cadiere; daughter, Patsy C. Hebert of Houma; sisters, Odilia C. Babin and Shirley C. Babineaux of Houma; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Napoleon Cadiere and Jennie Pitre Cadiere; brothers, Wilbert E., Harris J. and Shelby J. Cadiere; sisters, Leola C. Babin, Viola C. Lirette and Marie Cadiere. He was a retired tub boat captain for Tim Cenac. He was a volunteer for East Park Recreation Center. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and he received the World War II Victory Medal. He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. The family thanks Bayou Regional Hospice and Dr. Jules Dupont. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
