Leon Labit						[Photo]

Leon "Jr." Joseph Labit, 70, a native and resident of Houma, died at 1 a.m. Nov. 
14, 2004.

Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesay at Chauvin Funeral Home. A memorial 
service will take place at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Authement Labit of Houma; mother, Marie DuBois 
Labit Breaux of Bayou Blue; sons, Ricky Paul and Ronnie Jerome Labit; daughter, 
Rhonda Claire Labit LeCompte; brothers, Davis Labit of Florida, Ralph Labit of 
Bayou Blue, Roy Labit of Arkansas, Francis Labit of Houma, Joseph Labit of Bayou 
Blue, Philip Labit of Houma and Larry Labit of Tennessee; sister, Betty Labit 
Steele of Houma; seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leon Paul Labit; stepfather, Lawrence J. 
Breaux; son, Randy James Labit; brother, Johnny Labit; sister, Gloria Labit 
Gaston.

He was a retired dispatcher with Dresser Atlas and a U.S. Marine veteran of the 
Korean War.

He was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
