Lowell LeBlanc

Lowell Joseph LeBlanc, 89, a native of Chauvin and resident of Houma, died Oct. 
29, 2004.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and 8:30 
a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Houma.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church, 
with burial at the church cemetery.

He is survived by daughters Marla Porche, Melanie Acosta, June Gauthreaux, 
Olenda Pertuit and Karen Cowart; seven grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Babin LeBlanc; parents Octave and 
Melanie Hebert LeBlanc; son Wayne Joseph LeBlanc; brothers Stanley and Albert 
LeBlanc; sisters Hattie Mazerac and Daisy Ledet; grandchild Candace Gauthreaux; 
and great-grandchild Landon Gauthreaux.

He was a self-employed fruit peddler and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic 
Church.
