"Brother" Braud Jr., 80, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died at 1:25 p.m. Nov. 18, 2004. Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. today at Landry's Funeral Home and 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Joseph Co-cathedral. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Geraldine "Jerry" Mire Braud; daughters, Lisa Braud Boudreaux and Laura Braud Prejean; sisters, Kathleen Braud Neubauer and Barbara Braud Talbot; three grandchildren, Melissa B. Naquin, Michael Braud Boudreaux and Kaitlyn Prejean; one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice A. Braud Sr. and Lucille Breaux Braud. He was a retired businessman and founder of Napasco International. He was a former prisoner of war and four-time recipient of the Purple Heart, a member of the VFW, past grand marshal and past president of the Bayou Country Club. He was a wonderful man, husband, father and was admired by many and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
