Visitation will be from 2 to 10 p.m. today and 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Chauvin. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, with burial at the church cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Jean J. Charpentier; son, Timothy Charpentier; daughters, Jackie Prosperie and Claudette Blanchard; brothers, Albon and Ferrell Carlos; sisters, Geraldine Duet and Gail Authement; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Pitre; mother, Valerie Babin Pitre Carlos; stepfather, Bartholomew "B.J." "Babe" Carlos; brother, Harvey Pitre; and sister, Merueline LeBlanc. She was a parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of the Ladies Altar Society, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and Ward 7 V. F. W. Ladies Auxiliary. Samart Funeral Home of Houma is in charge of arrangements.
