Virginia Mire						[Photo]

Virginia "Virgie" Legendre Mire, 79, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died 
Nov. 17, 2004.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. today and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Thibodaux 
Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday at 
Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux, with burial at St. John 
Cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Maurice P. Mire Sr.; sons, Maurice P. Mire Jr. 
and Randy J. Mire; daughters, Barbara M. Benoit and Virginia C. Mire; sisters, 
Annabell Bonvillain, Gladys Sonnier and Verna Aucoin; grandchildren, Denise 
Benoit Standley, Brian J. Benoit, Paul J. Mire Marande Mire Weber and Shawn 
Mire; and great-grandchildren, Olivia Benoit, Abigail Benoit and Sophie Benoit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecilia V. Legendre and Oscar 
Legendre; brothers, Roland, Oscar, Raymond, Earl and Sgt. Lloyd Legendre; and 
sister, Sedonia Vicknair.

She was a member of Christ the Redeemer Ladies Altar Society and was a committed 
adorer of the Adoration Chapel.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
