Della Mae Hebert Mertens, 49, a native of Thibodaux and resident of Alexandria, 
died at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 16, 2004.

A religious service was held Oct. 18, 2004, with burial at Butter's in Forrest 
Hill.

She is survived by her sons, Matthew Mertens and Jay Canilla; brothers, Robert, 
Bruce, Wayne and Donald Hebert; and sister, Susan Chiasson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert O. Sr. and Esther Tauzin 
Hebert; brothers, Hubert Jr., David and Dale Hebert; and sister, Judy 
Piedsicalzi.

Rush Funeral Home of Oakdale was in charge of arrangements.
