Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Morning Star Baptist Church in Thibodaux. A religious service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at the church. A dismissal service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, with burial at the church cemetery. She is survived by her daughters, Eva Shanklin and Effie Price of Thibodaux, Betty Antoine of Lawton, Okla., and Gwendolyn Queen of Baton Rouge; sons, Alvin and Ernest Queen of Thibodaux, Oliver Queen Sr. of Baton Rouge, Louis Queen of Austin, Texas, and Leonard Queen of Atlantic City, N. J.; sister, Jessie Mae Dyer of Baton Rouge; brothers, Alfred Woods of San Francisco and Louis Woods of Thibodaux; 38 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Queen Jr.; parents, James Sr. and Ida Woods; sister, Lottie Allen; and brothers, Joseph, James, John and Jessie Woods. She was a longtime deaconess at Morning Star Baptist Church and enjoyed baking and babysitting her grandchildren. Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
