Eunice Ledet						[Photo]

Eunice Foret Ledet, 98, a native of Raceland and resident of Thibodaux, died 
Oct. 16, 2004.

Visitation will be 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church 
in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 4 p.m. Tuesday at 
the church, with burial at the church cemetery.

She is survived by her sons, Philip Jr. and Charles Ledet; daughters, Joyce 
Ledet, Theresa Leche, Anna Mae Labat, Barbara Battaglia, Marcelle Labat, Noel 
Bourg and Lydia Degruise; sister, Una Kenney; 35 grandchildren; and 41 great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Ledet Sr.; parents, Pierre and 
Hilda Theriot Foret; sons, Jerry Sr., Kermit Sr. and Preston Ledet; daughters, 
Beulah and Eva Ledet; brothers, Richard, Etienne and Theodore Foret; sisters, 
Eugenie Foret and Antoinette Gauthire; and grandson, Gerard Ledet.

She was a loving and compassionate mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, 
She was an avid cook.

Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
