Newell Tate

Newell "Buster" Tate, 83, a native of Fox, Okla., and resident of Thibodaux, 
died Oct. 3, 2004.

Visitation will be 8:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Thibodaux Funeral Home Chapel. A 
religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with 
burial at St. Joseph Cemetery in Thibodaux.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Ordoyne Tate; daughter and son-in-law, Ann T. 
Bourgeois and Milton Bourgeois Jr.; stepson, Tom Roussel; stepdaughters, Mona 
Roussel and Linda Richard; brother, Bill Tate; sister, Imogene Riley; 
granddaughter and her spouse, Dr. Toni B. Leoni and Dr. Rick Leoni; and great-
grandchildren, Jack and Ethan Leoni.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Helen Pizzitola; second wife, 
Margaret Bourgeois Tate; parents, Claude and Tannye Tate; son, Tony Tate; 
stepdaughter, Virginia Eagan; and brother, Ernest Tate.

Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
