Roy Picou Sr.						[Photo]

Roy J. Picou Sr., 67, a native of Houma and resident of Chauvin, died at 11:30 
p.m. Oct. 12, 2004.

Visitation will be 4 to 10 p.m. today and 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at the KC Hall in 
Chauvin.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph 
Church in Chauvin, with burial at St. Elie Cemetery in Chauvin.

He is survived by his sons, Roy Jr., Ricky Sr. and Joseph Anthony Picou; 
daughters, Debra Dupre and Brenda Cunningham; brother, Emile Picou Jr.; sisters, 
Violet Authement and Gladys Domangue; 15 grandchildren; and two great-
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Ledet Picou; parents, Emile Picou 
Sr. and Perozee Chaisson Picou; sons, Raymond and Aaron Picou; brothers, Armond, 
Irly Sr., Jessie and Noland Picou; and sisters, Mickie Rhodes, Bernice Hebert, 
Earline Bernard and Lucille Quick.

He was a retired commercial fisherman.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
