Ruth Marshall Coleman, 56, a native of Labadieville and resident of 
Napoleonville, died Oct. 13, 2004.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Nelson Chapel AME Church in 
Napoleonville. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the 
church, with burial at the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald Coleman Sr. of Napoleonville; daughter, 
Nancy Savage of Avondale; son, Thomas Marshall of Anamosa, Iowa; adopted 
daughter, Lashonte Francis of Napoleonville; brothers, Albert Thomas of 
Highland, Calif.; Earl Thomas of New Orleans and Terry Scott of Brandon, Miss.; 
sister, Nancy Mondy of New Orleans; five stepchildren; six grandchildren; and on 
great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Josephine Marshall; 
brothers, Edward Berry and Willie Thomas.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Napoleonville is in charge of 
arrangements.
