Warall Whipple

Warall James Ned Whipple, 81, a native and resident of Bourg, died Oct. 27, 
2004.

Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Chauvin 
Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday at 
St. Ann Catholic Church, with burial at the church cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Hebert Whipple of Bourg; sons, Christopher 
M. and Stuart J. Whipple; daughter, Melanie M. Whipple; brother, Marcel Whipple; 
sisters, Goldie W. Jouandot and Mazie W. McCullough; and one grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mark McColl Whipple and Clothild Walker 
Whipple; brothers, Max and Leonard Whipple; sister, Mariel W. Bergeron.

He was a retired consulting petroleum geologist who served for 44 years.

He attended LSU for four years, was a member of the New Orleans Geological 
Society and Petroleum Club of New Orleans.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.

He was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church.

Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
