Visitation will be 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ola Brunet Freeman; sons and daughter- in-law, Carl Jr., Jody and Monique Breaux Freeman, all of Lockport; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Ken Saucier of Houma, Holly and Wayne Bourgeois of Mississippi; sisters, Paula Guidry of Galliano, Betty Smith of Lockport and Bonnie Miller of Georgia; grandchildren, Will and Ben Freeman, Jennifer Matherne, John and Jesse Freeman, Ashley Beth and David Bourgeois; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Basil and Edith Freeman of Lockport. He was a World War II veteran where he received the Navy Unit Commendation Ribbon Award for the Patrol Bombing Squadron No. 18 for outstanding heroism. He was a member of the Lockport American Legion. He was a town alderman from 1972 to 1976. He was a Texaco gauger for 24 years. He was owner of Eddie's Men and Boys Clothing and Ola's Fabric Shop. He was a Lafourche Pairsh All Star fast pitch second baseman in the late 1950s. Falgout Funeral Home of Lockport is in charge of arrangements.
