Ernestine Jacob					[Photo]

Ernestine Jacob, 89, a native of Melville and resident of Thibodaux, died Sept. 
15, 2004, at the Audubon Guest House in Thibodaux.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at St. Luke Catholic Church in Thibodaux. 
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, 
with burial in Moses Baptist Church Cemetery.

She is survived by her daughters, Lizzie Jackson and Betty Jo Willis of Baton 
Rouge, Nellie Mae Warren of Denver and Hannah Smith and Loretta Price of 
Thibodaux; son, Anderson August of Thibodaux; a host of grandchildren and great-
grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Jacob; parents, John and 
Celina August; sons, Preston and Louis Jacob Sr. and William August; brothers, 
McKinley, Otis and Alphonse August.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Luke Catholic Church and enjoyed 
cooking.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home of Thibodaux is in charge of arrangements.
