Gertie Bruce

Gertie Mobley Bruce, 78, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Cut Off, died 
at 7:55 p.m. Sept. 12, 2004.

A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. today at Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church in Cut Off, with burial at the church cemetery.

She is survived by her husband, Michel "Mitchell" Bruce; sons, Michael P. Jr., 
Clarence J. and Norman P. Bruce; daughters, Gloria A. and Diane M. Bruce; 
brothers, Albert John Mobley, Ozulien Mobley and Robertson Pierre Mobley 
sisters, Eula Anna M. Bruce, Angelina M. Naquin and Norecelia M. Gaudet; six 
grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Marcellin and Julienne 
"Ozellian" Lee Mobley; sisters, Felicia M. Guidry, Lucia M. Serigny and 
Josephine M. Kiger.

She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She loved shopping for antiques.

Falgout Funeral Home of Galliano is in charge of arrangements.
