Visitation will be 5 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma and 8:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Velina Josephine Dupre Scott of Houma; son, Daniel P. Scott of Bayou Blue; daughters, Suzanne Scott Herman of Houma, Patty J. Dupre of Bourg and Pam Scott Rollans of Houma; brothers, Albin A. Sr., Essie P. and Floyd J. Scott, all of Houma; sister, Norma Kaye Bourgeois of Houma; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Angelique A. Darcy; father and stepmother, Paul "Kye" Johnnie Scott and Emilina A. Scott; brothers, Harry J. Sr. and Carrol J. Scott; sister, Pearl M. Stoufflet. He was a retired carpenter and fisherman. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
