Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Friday and 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma. A prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial at St. Louis Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Gayle Comeaux Bonvillain of Houma; daughters, Rebecca B. Hotard and Tracey Bonvillain of Houma; brothers, Jesse, Ray and Tommy Bonvillain of Houma; and sisters, Jean B. Collins, Janet B. Matherne, Linda B. Dupre, Jill B. Chambers of Houma and Amy B. James of Thibodaux. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivy John Sr. and Velma Marie Boudreaux Bonvillain; brothers, Phillip and Travis Bonvillain. He was a bulk plant operator of B.J. Services and was an avid deer hunter. He was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
