"Bruce" Ledet, 91, a native and resident of Raceland, died at 11:06 a.m. Sept. 12, 2004. Visitation will be held 5 to 9 p.m. today at Falgout Funeral Home in Raceland and 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church in Raceland. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Nativity Catholic Church, with burial at the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Sarah Lusco Ledet; daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Dr. Walt Bumgardner, Beverly and Mike Melancon, Claudet Ledet Pitre and Debbie and Paul Pitre; sisters, Carol L. Falgout and Lula Mae Zeringue; and grandchildren John Paul and Rachel Bumgardner, Jeffrey and Gregory Melancon, Kimberly P. Price and Kelly Pitre. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Annette Ledet; sisters, Myrtle Arcement and infant Irma Ledet. He was a parishioner of St. Mary Nativity Catholic Church and a member of the Raceland Lions Club, Lafourche Green Trout Club and Sugar Belt League of Thibodaux. He was a pitcher for the New Orleans Pelican Baseball Club. Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
