Barbera Jr., 89, a native of Napoleonville and resident of St. Joseph Manor in Thibodaux, died Sept. 4, 2004. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon today at St. Genevieve Catholic Church in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at noon at the church. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Frances Tramonte Barbera; daughter, Frances Barbera Ordoyne of Austin, Texas; sisters-in-law, Mamie T. Barbera of Thibodaux, Ruth R. Barbera of Napoleonville and Margaret T. Tramonte of Galveston, Texas; and grandchildren, Cecily O. Johnson, Alecia O. Goode and Angela Ordoyne, all of Auxin; and great-grandchild, Jonah Goode. He was preceded in death by his son, Leonared J. Barbera; brothers, Sam C. and Jerome A. Barbera; son-in-law, Terry Ordoyne; and parents, Joseph Sr. and Frances Locascio Barbera of Napoleonville. The family is grateful for all of the care and kindness given by the director and staff at St. Joseph Manor and doctors and nurses from St. Joseph Hospice. Donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 1040 Calhoun St., New Orleans, LA 70118 are preferred.
