Lloyd Cheatham						[Photo]

Lloyd Bernard "Hollywood Swinger" Cheatham, a native and resident of 
Labadieville, died at 6 p.m. Aug. 26, 2004, at Chabert Medical Center in Houma.

Visitation will be 9 to 10:45 a.m. Friday at St. Philomena Catholic Church in 
Labadieville. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at 
the church, with burial in St. Phillip Baptist Church Cemetery in Labadieville.

He is survived by a devoted and loving companion, Ruthlem Thomas; daughters, 
Angela Pierce and Shawn Cheatham of Destrehan and Tequila Cosie of Thibodaux; 
stepdaughter, Shawane Cosie of New Orleans; sisters, Jessie C. Jackson, Laura C. 
Holloway and Jacqueline C. Johnson, all of Ladadieville, Audrey C. Johnson, 
MaryGrace C. Porter and Linda C. West, all of Thibodaux, and Donna C. Smith of 
Schriever; two godchildren, Gwendolyn Cooks and Keith Holloway; 11 
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, 
other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Bates and Irving Cheatham Sr.; 
brothers, Albert, Dave, John, Melvin, Raymond, Irving Jr. and James Carol 
Cheatham; sisters, Annie Belle Edmond, Bessie Mitchell and Mary Alice Oatis; 
son, Lloyd Cheatham Jr.; stepson, Wayne Cosie.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
