Visitation will be 4 to 9 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Lucille Portier Dupre of Chauvin; daughters, Bonnie Domangue and Lynette LeBlanc of Chauvin and Nell Rodriguez of Houma; brother, Ernest Dupre Jr. of Gonzales; sisters, Adele Pellegrin of Chauvin, Lyie Simoneaux of Montegut and Genevieve Hebert of Houma; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Sr. and Josephine LeBoeuf Dupre; brother, Duffy Dupre; sisters, Necia Robichaux and Elodie Price. He was a retired commercial fishermen and served 38 months as a lineman during World War II in central India-Burma with the U.S. Army. He was a member of VFW Post 9608; American Legion Post 0380, Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and the Ward Seven Citizens Club. He was a parishioner of St. Joseph. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
