The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ================================ September 25. 2004 2:10AM Patrick Parra [photo] Patrick "Pat" Henry Parra, 48, a native of New Orleans and resident of Houma, died at 6:22 a.m. Friday, Sept. 24, 2004. Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. He is survived by his wife, Geri Danna Parra of Houma; one son, Hunter D. Parra; one sister, Patricia "Pat" Courteaux; and his mother and father-in-law, Pete and Ann Danna of Amite. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin D. Parra and Florida Adams Parra. He was the general manager with Scurlock Electric and was secretary-treasurer for Concerned Citizens for the Community. He was a member of South Central Industrial Association, Vandebilt High School Terrier Club, Ducks Unlimited, National Rifle Association, Coastal Conservation Association, Nicholls State University Association and a member of Parish President Don Schwab Transition Team. He was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Vandebilt Catholic High School Terrier Club are preferred.
