Bourgeois, 68, a native of Houma and resident of Raceland, died at 2:04 a.m. July 6, 2005. Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at St. Hilary of Poitiers Catholic Church in Raceland. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Dufrene, Catherine Bordlee and Pauline Matherne; sisters, Shirley Cotton and Ramona Scott; seven grandchildren; and one grandchild to be born. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond John Dufrene; second husband, James Earl Peavey; third husband, Claude Bourgeois; parents, Morris and Edna Boudreaux Authement; son, Jamie Peavey Jr.; brother, Robert "Bobby" Authement; and sister, Joyce Authement. She was a parishioner of St. Hilary Catholic Church. She was an avid reader and collector of ink and lead pens. She also enjoyed embroidering and crocheting.
