Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until funeral time at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Cut Off. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial following at the church mausoleum. He is survived by his wife, Stella Badeaux Leonard; son Wayne Leonard; daughters Janice L. Arceneaux and Mona L. Gisclair; brother Neddy Cheramie; sister Earline L. Cheramie; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Octavie Cheramie and Rene Leonard; brother Raymond Leonard; and sister Rose Marie Leonard. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Holy Name. He was a reader, commentator and a choir member. He was a barber for 57 years. Falgout Funeral Homes of Galliano is in charge of arrangements.
