Edward Reed						[Photo]

Edward "T" Reed, 63, a native of Opelousas and resident of Raceland, died 
Tuesday, July 5, 2005.

Visitation was from 9 to 11 a.m. today at Morning Star Baptist Church in 
Raceland. The religious service will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at the church, 
with burial following at the church cemetery.

He is survived by daughters Anita Poindexter of Raceland, Angela Marts of Larose 
and Vera Charles of Opelousas; sons Darrell Reed of Long Beach, Calif., and 
Sidney Poindexter Jr. of Raceland; sisters Edna Mae Reed, Laura Mae Reed, Mary 
Odell Jerries and Velma Reed, all of Opelousas; brothers Simon Reed Jr. of Baton 
Rouge, Lawrence Reed of Leonville and Joseph Reed, Paul James Reed and Walter 
Major of Opelousas; seven grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents Simon Reed Sr. and Lorena Reed; and 
sister Rose Mary Reed.

He was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. He enjoyed cooking and helping 
others.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
