Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Moses Baptist Church in Thibodaux. A religious service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at the church. The dismissal service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Eva Mae Broussard of Thibodaux; daughters, Barbara Ann Smith-Broussard of Atlanta, Clarice Hanzy-Broussard of Bakerfield, Calif., Golena T. Ward and Ebony Shelly of Thibodaux, Essence Wallace of New Orleans, and Jeffina Thomas of Memphis, Tenn.; stepsons, Huey and Mark Phillips of Thibodaux; stepdaughters, Ethel Mae Waller of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Geneva Nora of Houma; sisters, Jessie Mae Alexander of Chicago, Gloria C. Jackson and Betty J. Odoms of New Orleans; brothers, Lawrence Broussard Sr., Harold Broussard, and Carl R. Clark, all of New Orleans; 22 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doretha Broussard; parents, Ernest Clinton and Josephine Broussard; son, Denward Broussard, brother, Hubert Arel Clark; maternal grandparents, Robert and Priscilla Davis Hammond; paternal grandparents, Joseph Lamond and Mary Rose Broussard. He was a member of Moses Baptist Church and served on the deacon board, scholarship board, member of male chorus, the president of the deacon alliances, member of Fifth District Association, Laymen's Association; He was a member of St. Joseph Lodge No. 15 Free and Accepted Masons; He was also a U.S. Army Veteran. He enjoyed going to Church and running his sweet shop. Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
