The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ================================ July 29. 2005 11:19AM Norman Griffin Sr. Norman "Nu-Nu" Jean Griffin Sr., 79, a native of Golden Meadow and resident of Galliano, died at 10:50 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2005. Visitation will be held from 4 to 10 tonight and 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Falgout Funeral Funeral Home in Galliano. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with burial at Cheramie Cemetery in Galliano. He is survived by his wife, Lorina Gisclair Griffin; sons Dean Griffin and wife, Laura, and Daniel Griffin and wife, Denise; daughter Merry Lee G. Angelle and husband, Glenn; daughter-in-law Joan Cheramie; brothers Nolty "Coon" Griffin and Larry Griffin; sisters Lorita G. Guidry and Nancy G. Lasseigne; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norcella Guidry Griffin and Paul Griffin Sr.; son Norman Griffin Jr.; and brothers Paul Jr., Louis Sr., Wilkin, Alvin and Dudley Griffin. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He was a retired Texaco employee who enjoyed fishing, shrimping and living life. He and wife recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Some of his last words were how he "loved his family." Falgout Funeral Homes Inc. of Galliano is in charge of arrangements.
