Savoie Sr., 73, a native of Raceland and resident of Lockport, died at 12:20 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2005. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Holy Savior Catholic Church in Lockport. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Molly Vedros Savoie; one daughter, Melanie Savoie Boudreaux and her husband, Keith Boudreaux; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris Savoie Sr. and Mathilde Rodriguez Savoie; one son, Norman J. Savoie Jr.; one brother, Morris Savoie Jr.; five sisters, Rosalie Savoie Dupre, Dolores Savoie Kraemer, Laura Savoie Danos, Eve Savoie Rogers and Beulah Savoie Dupre. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of American Legion Post No. 83 in Lockport. He was a parishioner of Holy Savior Catholic Church.
