The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ================================ August 16. 2005 12:07PM Cecil Bergeron Jr. [Photo] A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2005, at St. Mary Catholic Church for Cecil Joseph Bergeron Jr., 49, who died at 12:35 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005, in the Heart Hospital of Lafayette. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum. The Rev. Robie Robichaux, JCL, pastor of St. Mary Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the Funeral Mass. Mrs. Jodi Bollich, organist, will sing for the funeral Mass, "Amazing Grace", "Ave Maria", "On Eagles' Wings" and "Here I Am, Lord". Survivors include his wife, Anna Allain Bergeron; one daughter, Lauren Lynch and her husband Matthew; one son, Mark Lemaire and his fiancée, Ashley Walton; his mother, Marie Servino Bergeron and one granddaughter, Anna Katherine Lynch. He was preceded in death by his father, Cecil Joseph Bergeron Sr. Cecil was a native of Thibodaux and a resident of Lafayette. He was also a member of St Mary Catholic Church. Cecil had a passion for helping others and displayed this by his membership in the Home, Hook and Ladder Volunteer Fire Department of Thibodaux and as an Acadian Ambulance dispatcher and paramedic for 21 years. Later in life, Cecil became a licensed real estate agent for Van Eaton Romero. He then began a successful career as a self-employed licensed home inspector. A member of Cypremort Point Yacht Club, Cecil was an avid sportsman and sailor who loved fishing, hunting and golf. Pallbearers will be Dwayne Bergeron, Wayne Gillespie, Jonathan Love, Adam Love, John Grettner, and Jay Landry. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Love, Kenny Savoie, Russell Broussard, Donovan Grettner and Robert Allain II. A Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in Martin and Castille Funeral Home.
