The date preceding the obituary is the date of posting on the WWW, not the date of death. ================================ August 19. 2005 12:32PM Fannie Foucheux [Photo] Fannie Cenac Barras Foucheux, 91, a native of Houma and resident of Gibson, died at 10:47 a.m. Aug.17, 2005. Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Chacahoula. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial at St. Patrick Cemetery in Gibson. She is survived by her daughters Lydia Rogers and Beth Whitman; sister, Mary Ann Hutchinson, seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clyde Barras; second husband, Lionel Foucheux; parents, George Lee and Irene Sterkins Cenac; son, Dion Barras, brothers Burt Lee, J.B. "Red" and Walt Cenac; and sisters Jeannette Kay and Julia Cenac. She was a homemaker. She was an active member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. She was a volunteer at Gibson Elementary School for many years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Lawrence Harvesters or Vandebilt Catholic High School. Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
