Herbert Matthews

Herbert Lee Matthews, 41, a native and resident of Thibodaux died Aug. 13, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Moses Baptist Church in 
Thibodaux. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church, 
with burial at the church cemetery.

He is survived by his fiancee Melissa Johnson of Thibodaux; son, Brad Cooks of 
Thibodaux; stepson, Malik Coleman of Thibodaux; stepdaughter, Malayshia Walls of 
Thibodaux; sisters, Cynthia Matthews and Gail Meyers of Thibodaux and Priscilla 
Matthews of Gibson; brothers, Darry and Barry Matthews of Thibodaux, Edward 
Charles Matthews of Baton Rouge, Johnel Matthews of Chalmette, Stacy Matthews 
and Terry Lee Matthews of Laplace and Perry Matthews of Monterey, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents Herbert Jr. and Dorothy Tillman 
Matthews; brother, Dwayne Matthews; grandparents, Earl Sr. and Lillie Mary Davis 
Tillman and Herbert Sr. and Alberta Matthews.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
