John Arceneaux						[Photo]

John Paul Arceneaux, 71, a native and resident of Bourg, died at 4 a.m. Aug. 24, 
2005.

Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg. A 
memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial at 
Rogers Cemetery in Houma.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Blanchard Arceneaux; sons James and John 
Arceneaux; daughter Julie Colvin; brothers Gerald, James and Kenneth Arceneaux; 
sisters Joyce LeBlanc, Annebelle "Nan" LeBlanc and Ruby Chauvin; and nine 
grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Davis and Louise Boquet Arceneaux; 
grandchild Kaitlyn Colvin; brothers Davis Jr., Raymond and Louis Arceneaux; and 
sister Flossie Bergeron.

He was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church. He served in the U.S. Air 
Force.

He enjoyed fishing and playing Pedro.

Donations to Bayou Regional Hospice are preferred.

Samart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
