Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Golden Meadow Methodist Church. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in Cheramie Cemetery. She is survived by two daughters, Linda C. Pitre and husband, Benton Pitre and Kate Charpentier; three brothers, Wilford, Edway and Earl Vegas; two sisters, Ruby Adams and Beatrice Charpentier; four grandchildren, Lisa Bouvier, Rachel Callais, Joni Wyatt and Wayne John Rousse; and four great-grandchildren, Michaela Callais, Michael Callais Jr., James Paul Bouvier Jr. and Elaina Marie Wyatt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wester Charpentier; her parents, Antoine P. Vegas and Elidia Guidry Vegas; one brother, Joseph Vegas; and three sisters, Dorida Pitre, Din Ginter and Madeline Duet. She was a member of Eastern Star and enjoyed cooking for her family.
