Moses R. "Shine" "Bay" Young, 69, a native and resident of Labadieville, died 
Friday, Aug. 5, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at New Belmont Baptist Church in 
Labadieville, followed by religious services at the church and burial at the 
church cemetery.

He is survived by his mother, Beatrice J. Young of Labadieville; wife, Georgie 
Kinchen Young of Moreno Valley, Calif.; daughters Debra Young of Long Beach, 
Calif., Valarie Young and Julie Muhammad, both of Moreno Valley, and Alesia 
Batiste of Tracy, Calif; sons Robert Young of Moreno Valley and Donald Young of 
Las Vegas; sisters Rosa Y. Pace of Labadieville and Gloria Y. Stephney of 
Richmond, Calif.; brother LeRoyal Young of Labadieville; 18 grandchildren; two 
great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Moses Young; and sister Selina Holmes 
Williams.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home in Napoleonville is in charge of arrangements.
