Walter Dedon						[Photo]

Walter M. Dedon, 72, a native of Baton Rouge and resident of Golden Meadow, died 
at 2:38 p.m. Aug. 8, 2005.

Visitation will be 4 to 10 p.m. today and 8 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Samart 
Funeral Home in Cut Off. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 
a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, with burial at the 
church cemetery.

He is survived by his sons Walter Jacob Dedon, Randall Dedon, Jason Dedon, 
Joshua Dedon and Jacob Dedon; daughters Mamie D. Hurst, Nancy D. Bonaventure, 
Patricia D. Robert, Alice D. Martin and Carolyn D. Bouziga; brother Sonny Dedon; 
sisters, Alice D. Millet, Dorothy D. Hrychuck, Lillie D. Hall, Barbara Jean D. 
Alonzo, Bertha D. Androski and May "Sister" D. Duplessis; nine grandchildren; 
and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Redden Dedon; parents, Jacob and 
Fannie Ebby Dedon; brothers Alfred, Elmo, Hubert and Buddy Dedon.

He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.

His hobbies were fishing, crabbing and shrimping.

He was retired from the Baton Rouge Department of Public Works.
