Adolph Cheatteam Jr.

Adolph Cheatteam Jr., 55, a native of New Orleans and resident of Harvey, died 
at 9:40 a.m. Sept. 26, 2005.

Visitation will be 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church in 
Thibodaux. A religious service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial 
will be in the church cemetery.

He is survived by his son Michael Cheatteam of Harvey; sisters Doris Ross of 
Terrytown, Diane Hardy, Ruby Cheatteam, and Betty Duplessis of Harvey; brothers 
Sidney Cheatteam, Alvin Cheatteam, and Elder James Cheatteam all of Harvey; six 
grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Cheatteam; parents, Adolph Sr., and 
Beatrice Cheatteam; brothers Larry Cheatteam and Garrison Cheatteam; and sister 
Helen James.

Kennedy Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.
