"Cow Poochie" Anderson, 84, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005. Visitation will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Luke Catholic Church on 11th Street in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, followed by burial at Calvary Methodist Cemetery. He is survived by son Alvin Anderson Jr. of Bowling Green, Ky.; sisters Elouise Brown of Thibodaux and Rosie Felt of New Orleans; brothers Tom Anderson of New Orleans and Joseph Anderson of San Francisco; four grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Owinda Henderson; daughter Carolyn Coulon; parents, Florence and Junius Anderson; brothers James and Roland Anderson; and sisters Florence, Lillie and Gertie Mae. He was a retired employee with the Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office. He was a member of St. Luke Council 145 Knights of Peter Claver and the Silver Moon Social Club. His hobbies included cooking and being involved in the political arena. Williams and Southall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
