Eddie Gauthier

Eddie J. Gauthier, 63, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Schriever, 
died Sept. 29, 2005.

Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. today at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church 
in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 3 p.m. today at 
the church, with burial at the church cemetery.

He is survived by his companion, Eula Blanchard; son and daughter-in-law Phillip 
and Nancy Gauthier; daughters and son-in-law Tammy and Larry Blanchard and Karen 
Cormier; brothers Carroll Sr. and Calvin Gauthier; sisters Oudia Mae Morvant, 
Louise Lirette and Laura Hue; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marydine Barrilleaux Gauthier; parents, 
Melvin and Louise Chiasson Gauthier; son-in-law Bryan Benoit; infant brother 
Eugene Gauthier; and infant sister Ida Mae Gauthier.

He was retired from the Louisiana Highway Department after 33 years of service. 
He enjoyed gardening.

Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
